Bihar Election 2025: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav promises law to guarantee one government job per family in 20 months
In a post on X, Yadav wrote, “Under economic justice, we have made a historic and transformative announcement today. Every family in Bihar that does not have a government job will be mandatorily provided with a job through a new act.”

A job act within 20 days, employment in 20 months
He criticised the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government, saying, “For 20 years, this government has failed to provide jobs and employment. As soon as our government is formed, within 20 days we will enact a law and ensure that every family gets a job within 20 months.”
On feasibility and data backing
He added that the plan was based on research and available records. “We have studied this scientifically, we have data of all such families on the basis of our survey. If we are making this announcement, it is my pledge that we are doing only what is possible.”

Political strategist Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj has also entered the fray, declaring it will contest all 243 Assembly seats.
The Election Commission has announced that voting will be held in two phases, on November 6 and November 11, while counting is scheduled for November 14.
